Which profile do you use?
Rehau 70mm S706, you can find out more about Rehau by clicking on the logo at the bottom of the page.

I see you’re Rehau Authorised, what does that mean?
We at Windows Direct follow the Rehau fabrication protocol by reinforcing the UPVC with steel inserts, where it is required.

What glass do you use?
We use Saveheat Glass. If you click on the logo at the bottom of the page you can find out all about Saveheats great U value rating etc.

What bi-fold system do you use?
Smart Aluminium Systems, Visofold 1000, to find out more about Smart Aluminium visit the bi-fold section on our page or click on the logo below.

What locking system do you use?
Era 8 point locking system

What type of handles and letter boxes do you use?
Fab & Fix as standard on both Supply Only & Supply & Fit, it comes in an array of colours. Check out the product quality by clicking on the logo at the bottom of the page.

I don’t like any glass in the showroom, can i change it?
Of course. At Windows Direct we design all our glass in house, you can completely change the design, add numbers, or take two designs and merge them together. Previously we’ve made crests, dogs, trees, company names, etc. It won’t cost you an arm and a leg. If you think it, we can create it. 

Can I get a composite door?
Yes, we supply Palladio Composite Doors. To find out more about this product, please click on the logo at the bottom of the page.

Can I get my product on a Supply Only basis?
Yes

Do you have a showroom?
Yes, you can find us on 91B North Road, Bellshill, ML4 1QZ. We have a fully functioning showroom, where you can open each door window and bi-fold in a variety of styles.

Which areas do you cover?
We all of Scotland

Do you supply finance plans?
No

How do I pay for my job?
On the agreed method when accepting a quote, you can pay by cash, bank transfer or credit/ debit card on satisfactory completion of the job.

Do you have a Sales Team?
No, Windows Direct is a family run business and we would rather give our customer good quality products at reasonable prices, than pay commission to a sales team.

Do I need to be home during the surveyor's visit?
Yes, for an accurate survey, someone would need to be home to give us access.

How long will a survey take?
Depends on the detail of the job etc but typically around 15 minutes or more.

What will happen after my surveyor comes out?
Once Eddie has all your details, he will come back to the office and price up your quote and send it to you by your desired method.

Once I‘ve accepted my quotation, what’s the next step?
Eddie will come back out and do a final measure and arrange a date for installation.

Who will fit my doors, windows or bi-folds?
Unlike some larger companies that pay different contractors to install their jobs, Windows Direct have had the same fitting team from the start. They are renowned for the high quality finish throughout each job. Check out our Facebook page to see the reviews for yourselves.

Do I need to be there while my job gets installed?
No, you can either leave the key with us or let us in and then go about your day if you prefer. We will arrange with yourselves to get any new keys to you etc.

When will the fitter arrive and how long will it take?
We will let you know when you receive your quote how many days it will take. A door typically gets installed in a few hours.

Will my existing doors and windows be taken away?
Yes, we will take away everything and recycle it.

Will there be any mess left behind?
No, our fitting team will make sure there is minimum mess left behind.

Will the installers protect my house?
Yes, we always place a floor protector down.

I’m getting a full house of windows and doors installed, where will they start?
Our fitting team will start up the stairs and work their way down.

Care

Do you have any advice on the upkeep of my windows, doors and bi-folds?
We recommend lubricating the locks and hinges every 6 months, don’t leave keys in any windows or doors and always leave vents open.

Why do my windows have condensation when my old windows didn’t?
It was more than likely your old windows had a draft coming through the frames. Our windows are sealed with foam all around them, stopping any draft. We advise you keep your vents opened all the time.
